Early Gambit Art
Back when Claremont was first considering introducing Gambit into the books, he had Jim Lee work on
some concept sketches for the character. Although the basic idea of Gambit as a charming, good-looking
rogue remained the same throughout, it is interesting to see how it differed.

Winter Wear
During the Magneto War, it was suggested that Magneto would cause the earth to tilt on its axis and
thereby send the planet into a new Ice Age. Leinil Yu was asked to design winter gear for the team in
case they used this idea. The results can be seen in this sketch.

X-Treme X-Men Uniform
When Gambit joined the cast of X-Treme X-Men, Salvador Larrocca created a new costume for him, which
is generally considered to be one of his most flattering. These are his design sketches.

X-Treme X-Men Uniform (II)
This rough sketch shows Igor Kordey's redesign of Gambit's uniform. Apparently, his intention was to
bring him more in line with the movieverse look that was popular at the time.
